How I Created Value for Calendly

One of the projects I’ve worked on this week in my Praxis program was creating something tangible and of value for a company of my choosing. I chose Calendly, which is a company in the software/internet industry. They offer a scheduling software that makes scheduling seamless and easy.

I noticed when I visited their homepage that there was no call to action or anything keeping me on their page to scroll more. So I created a mock-up promotional that pops up on the side of the screen for their newsletter, as well as a free eBook for an incentive for users to give their email.

This pop-up promotional was inspired by the same design that they have on their blog, which encourages users to sign up for the newsletter. I took the same design and just integrated it on their homepage.

This led me to create an eBook based on information that they already had on their blog, as well as creating a landing page for a webinar. There was a wealth of information on their site that could generate excitement alone by just marketing it a little more or as a free E-book to new visitors.

Calendly does not currently offer webinars that I am aware of, but I thought it would be a cool opportunity to drive more engagement and hear from Tope Awotona, the CEO and Founder of Calendly himself.

This project has helped me think outside of the box when it comes to looking at making things more enticing and more effective.

Here are my changes:

I also created an email response for those who signed up for the newsletter and free eBook:
